The zintek® brand and products are manufactured by Simar, a company of the Cordifin SpA Group with a long-standing experience in the market of non-ferrous metals, both at national and international level. It is now a leading company in the supply of rolled zinc products, zinc alloys and wire.
The plant of Porto Marghera (Venice) is established in the industrial area located at the borders of the Venetian lagoon. It covers an area of 86,000 sqm, 48,000 sqm of which are built.
The plant can boast a very long tradition. Established in 1936, it underwent many industrial changes which presently made it an industrial establishment with an unquestionable international relevance. The transformation process of the zinc metal into zintek® rolled zinc-titanium starts with the melting of zinc in various melting furnaces where, alloyed with copper and titanium, it is conveyed into the continuous casting rolling line, from where it exits as wide strips.
After the semi-finished product phase, and a suitable thermal processing, it is introduced into the rolling mills and then into the cutting lines which process the products for the warehouse and the final delivery.

In every processing phase, in accordance with the quality standards UNI EN ISO 9002:94 and UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, the process is monitored by computer systems recording the line parameters and the product characteristics.
Every casting is identified, sampled and analyzed in laboratories for chemical, mechanical and technological tests.
After detailed analyses, the product is certified and then marketed in accordance with standard EN 988. Constant investments in equipment and products have helped Simar achieve a level of efficiency, reliability and competitiveness which make it the ideal partner for any company operating with non-ferrous metal products.

The ability of the company in interpreting market needs has led Simar research managers to develop, in the rolled zinc product range, a product to become a leader in the materials used for roofing and cladding.

Zintek Srl, a company established and wholly owned by Simar and specialized in the marketing of zintek®, includes a technical department and a marketing department which assist all the Clients choosing zintek® as a roof and façade material.
Besides having strong roots in the Simar organization, Zintek Srl involves other carefully selected partner companies providing excellence services. This makes the entire participating Team a unique resource able to cope with any request from the reference target. Product marketing is mainly entrusted to two Departments, a Technical one and a Commercial one.
